This was the best part of our whole trip to Kauai. I only wish I had brought an extra memory card for my camera.
Meandering up and down the Na Pali coastline was a highlight of our visit to Kaua’i. We had seen the cliffs from a hike along the Kalalau Trail, but viewing this spectacular natural wonder from the sea is beyond description. While motoring, we encountered sea turtles lazing just below the surface of the ocean and groups of playful dolphins skipped beside the boat. Ellis’ storehouse of local history and folklore added a fresh dimension to the adventure and brought the island to life. Of course catching a 32# Ono on the return voyage certainly had something to do with this memorable experience. Captain Ellis, you created a relaxing, comfortable environment and catered to our individual needs. Mahalo.

Not only did we see all kinds of wildlife, but we learned so much history of the island from Captain Ellis.
We saw spinner dolphins, bottle nose dolphins, rays, and tons of whales! Not to mention an incredible snorkling spot where we got to swim with some sea turtles.
